“Wherefore does he why? Whence did he whence?
Whither is he whithering?"
Coming to London’s Criterion Theatre on 15 November
for two performances only!
Discover the extraordinary life of Victorian Music Hall comedian and Drury Lane pantomime star Dan Leno starring Britain’s Got Talent finalist STEVE ROYLE in the title role.
Set in Camberwell Asylum in 1904. We join Dan in his private room where meet his wife Lydia and his brother Henry as he reflects on his life and career. He is visited by Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree – Special Guest Star Appearance by actor and comedian JOHN THOMSON (Cold Feet + The Masked Singer) – to discuss Shakespeare while his Nurse, and physician Doctor Savage, try to make sense of Dan and his condition.
It is in turns sad and funny and will make you laugh out loud with Music Hall songs instantly recognisable. A joyful insight into the life of the legendary comedian.
With Janet Maher (Nurse Kelly) - Neil Rowland (Henry Galvin) – Nicole Violet (Lydia Leno) – Phil Walker (Doctor Savage).
